Regular verbs such as look, walk, and jump, in English simply add -ed to the root verb to form the past: looked, walked, jumped.

There are some spelling rules that apply to English regular verbs, and you should learn these. You can watch my video to help you learn them.

Irregular English Verbs

Irregular English verbs, like the irregular English verb to knit, however, don’t do this and must be remembered individually.

What you need to remember about the the irregular English verb to knit, is that the infinitive form is to knit, the past simple form is knit and the past participle form is knit.
